I created this pretty unicorn party to celebrate my B’s fourth birthday! I think it’s the prettiest party I’ve ever done, it’s so dreamy! B is totally loving unicorns right now, so I took the unicorn theme and ran with it 🙂
I created the unicorn party printables (available in my shop here) with beautiful gold foil textures and pastel watercolors, and they inspired the rest of the party.
PRETTY UNICORN PARTY DECORATIONS
From the unicorn party printables package, I dressed the front of the desert table with the customized banner. I also set a framed party poster on the table next to the cake. (It was an old frame spray painted gold to match, so super affordable and it looked great!)
The cupcake wrappers and cupcake toppers dressed up the chocolate cupcakes, and the tent cards labelled the different sweets on the table.
I put silk flowers in painted jars and a vase to bring out the watercolor pastels of the printables.
Inspired by the pretty clouds in the printables and the beautiful flowers, I created the backdrop of tissue paper flowers and balloons. It added a great pop of color and a whimsical look to the whole party!
The gold unicorn cake topper and gold stars around the cake matched perfectly with the party printables. I bought the gold foil paper at Michaels and used my Silhouette to cut them.
Luckily, I just so happened to have a gold star plate from my collection of holiday dishes, which was perfect for this party!
UNICORN PARTY FOOD
I made colorful meringue cookies and bought some strawberry meringues for a nice mixture of flavors and shapes.
We munched on my favorite party popcorn, which is tossed in white chocolate and topped with sprinkles, aka “Dreamy Rainbow Uni-corn” haha!
I made chocolate cupcakes, and bought a vanilla semi-naked cake from a local bakery. I was going to attempt the cake myself because I’m such a hardcore DIY-er, but, it was starting to be too much in the days before the party. So I just had to use a lifeline, and I’m so glad I did!
The adults drank tea and the kids drank homemade strawberry milk in personalized milk bottles. I dressed them up with pink and gold ribbons and the printable water bottle wrappers labelled “Magical Unicorn Milk” with each girl’s name on it.
UNICORN PARTY ACTIVITIES
The girls played “pin the horn on the unicorn” and then they decorated their own unicorn sugar cookies.
Before the party started I set up four piping bags with different pastel colored frosting and different piping tips. That way they could swap colors and create designs without much mess! I also set out pretty sprinkles to add on top. The girls loved this activity, and the cookies were delicious too!
UNICORN PARTY FAVORS
I set up the party favor table with a framed unicorn party thank you poster, and I used white bags dressed with gold glitter ribbon and printable thank you tags for the favors.
The favors included beautiful unicorn hair elastics in gold, pink and aqua to match the party colors. They were so darling!
BIRTHDAY GIRL OUTFIT
I bought this soft pink and gold sparkly dress from Zulily for B to wear at her party. She loved it and looked so pretty!
