Last year I made of few of these heart-warming handmade Christmas ornaments for our tree and skipped the store bought ornaments, and it was a lovely, rustic and special tree for our family.

We made thumbprint snowman clay ornaments, stamped wood slice ornaments and wish list filled glass ornaments.

This year I followed my love of pallet wood signs by making mini pallet sign Christmas ornaments out of craft sticks, and I think they’re so cute!

I gave them a white-washed look with paint and then traced the words on with different colored markers. There’s a few different ways you can add the words depending on your supplies/equipment, skill, and the look you’re after. I used the wax paper transfer method, which is easy enough for anyone to do!

I wanted to share with you how to make them, so I took lots of pictures and wrote up tutorial.

I also posted a free printable of all my mini sign phrases so that you can use them too! I used a hand painted font and short phrases that are easy to trace.

The printable sign phrases are:

  • O Holy Night
  • Peace On Earth
  • Let It Snow
  • Deck the Halls
  • Merry and Bright

What will you put on your mini pallet sign?
