Christmas is always a whirlwind of activity and memories being made, but with a busy schedule it’s tough to remember to capture those moments in photos.
So many times when looking over my own Christmas photos I realize I only captured a fraction of what went down. It’s usually the Santa visit and the present opening. But where is that delicious turkey mom lovingly basted all day? Where is the gift wrapping, the Christmas movies with hot cocoa, the baking marathon? Those moments were part of our Christmas and deserve to be captured too. Even though we continue certain traditions year after year, no two years are the same.
I made a list of 25 photo ideas for capturing Christmas memories, which you can save and/or print if you like, for some inspiration in filling out your photo album with a more complete story of your Christmas.
Don’t get me wrong, I do not want to add any pressure to your already busy time of year by saying that you need to photograph every Christmas moment. What I am trying to do though, is to offer a little prompt and encouragement to capture what you can.
